Farm chickens

Our farm chickens are raised by the same farm family and are raised without antibiotics.

Our farm chickens are raised by the same Danish farm family. This means they get to know the farm environment from the time they are small. Like real farm chickens, they live a nice and quiet stable life with high ceilings.

The safe environment and clean conditions mean that the chickens are not actively treated with antibiotics.

They are a slow-growing breed, so they grow at a natural pace. This increases their quality of life and makes them stronger and healthier. The chickens decide when they want to eat and drink, as they have free access to feed and fresh water around the clock. Our farm chickens also have activity toys so they can take a swing whenever they want. This gives the chickens more opportunity for exercise and stimulation.

The farm chickens receive 2 hearts from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration in their Better Animal Welfare labeling scheme. They have also been CO2 measured by climate experts from the Carbon Trust, so we know our chickens' carbon footprint from farm to fork, making both us and you more aware of our carbon footprint.

The farm chickens are slaughtered at our slaughterhouse in Aars.

*A feed additive (coccidiostat) is used to avoid intestinal problems in the chicken caused by parasites.
